Microsoft E3 2018 Round-up

Today we got to experience a Microsoft E3 Press Briefing first hand, and boy oh boy was it a good one! Opening with the reveal of a brand new entry to the Halo franchise and with trailers for the likes of Cyberpunk 2077 and Gears 5, this was one of the best E3 showings from Microsoft for a while.

Halo: Infinite

Release date: TBC

We didn’t get much info about Halo: Infinite, apart from the trailer below, but when that Halo soundtrack pumped through the theatre it put a massive smile on our face and gave us goosebumps! We can’t wait to hear more about this new adventure for Chief in the future.

Cyberpunk 2077

Release date: TBC

We were waiting a long time to hear more about Cyberpunk 2077 but finally got something new today. We’re not sure when it’s coming out, but the trailer was very impressive!

Gears 5

Release date: TBC

We got 3 new games announced based off the Gears universe. A turn based strategy game for PC, a Funko POP! spin off mobile game and then the next entry in the main series, Gears 5. We’ll have to wait a while before we can get our hands on it, but take a look at the trailer below for now!


Release date: March 2019

Okay, NOW you can call us to see if we have Battletoads… Well actually, wait until it releases next March.

Jump Force

Release date: 2019

This super mash-up brings together characters from games including Dragonball, Naruto and One Piece. This fan service game will delight a LOT of people, including us!

Forza Horizon 4

Release date: 2nd October 2018

Set in the UK, the next entry in the Forza Horizon series looked hugely impressive. With the game introducing a new shared open-world experience, dynamic seasons and a 60fps mode on Xbox One X, this looks set to be a super addition to the franchise. We were able to go hands-on after the briefing during the showcase and it didn’t disappoint. We liked it a lot!

Devil May Cry 5

Release date: 2019

Nero will return next year in the long-awaited sequel to Devil May Cry 4! The game finally got announced by Capcom at Microsoft’s event and it’ll be one on our 2019 shopping list for sure.

Just Cause 4

Release date: Dec 4, 2018

It’s time to bring the thunder. Just Cause 4 by Avalanche Studios and Square Enix is coming to Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Windows PC December 4th 2018 1f4a5 E3 2018 - Microsoft Round-up Just Cause 4 was officially announced at the Xbox #E32018 Briefing. 

Kingdom Hearts 3

Release date: Jan. 29, 2019

Finally! Nearly five years to the day since its announcement, Kingdom Hearts 3’s has been revealed! Who’s been waiting a long time for this??
