Sony’s E3 2017 Round-up

Early Tuesday morning Sony took to the stage in what was a fast-paced show highlighting their Exclusives and more out this year and next. We got to see trailer after trailer of what Sony has to offer and we’ve posted some of the best below.

Sony kicked off the show with 3 exclusives, showing us a new story trailer for Uncharted: A Lost Legacy, a new expansion for Horizon: Zero Dawn & a new gameplay trailer for Days Gone. The hugely popular Shadow of the Colossus was announced as getting a HD remake (or remaster, we’re not quite sure yet) and we got to see new trailers for God of War & Detroit: Become Human. Sony finished the show with a gameplay showcase of Insomniac Games’ Spider-Man, and quite simply, this game looks nothing short of incredible.

Sony didn’t forget about PlayStation VR owners either, showing us a bunch of new VR titles including The Elder Scrolls Skyrim VR, Star Child & from the Creator’s of Until Dawn, The Inpatient.

Unfortunately a lot of the games shown didn’t get release dates, but from what we seen, there is plenty to look forward to for PlayStation fans.

Days Gone

Release date: TBC

We first got a look at Days Gone at Sony’s E3 press event last year and even back then it looked quite promising. This morning we got a better look at the gameplay and we’re happy to report that this game is still looking impressive. From what we’ve seen so far, this will be a big exclusive for Sony when it eventually releases. Keep an eye on this one.

Horizon: Zero Dawn The Frozen Wilds Expansion

Release date: TBC

After spending nearly 50 hours in the Horizon world earlier this year, we can’t wait to jump back in with new content. The game proved itself to be one of the best exclusives released on a Sony console to date and while we didn’t get much information on the expansion apart from the trailer below, if the single player campaign is anything to go by, this will be well worth picking up.

Uncharted The Lost Legacy

Release date: August 23rd 2017

A new trailer premiered for Naughty Dog’s Uncharted spin-off ‘The Lost Legacy’ that gave us a new look at the game. A new story in the Uncharted universe is most welcome. Can’t wait.

God of War

Release date: Early 2018

The God of War reboot was announced last year and this morning we got to see all new gameplay footage and it’s looking great! The originals were all brilliant but we think that this new take is just what’s needed to bring God of War back to the front of Sony’s exclusive lineup. We’re hoping that they can keep to the ‘Early 2018’ release date because we can’t wait to get our hands on this one.

Detroit: Become Human

Release date: TBC

Sony showcased the latest trailer for Detroit: Become Human from Quantic Dream, best known for their great story telling games like Heavy Rain & Fahrenheit. Detroit looks a similar type of game that takes place around an android revolution where every choice you make will have a consequence. Unfortunately there was no release date attached to the trailer so it looks like we’ll have to wait until next year at least.

Shadow of the Colossus HD Remake

Release date: 2018

Shadow of the Colossus was a Playstation 2 classic. There was a HD remake released on the PS3 a few years back and we’re not sure right now whether this is a re-remake or a full remaster but one thing is for sure, this PS4 version is gorgeous. If you somehow haven’t played this game yet (HOW!?) you’re in for a huge treat because this game is a masterpiece.

Playstation VR

The PlayStation VR is getting some great releases over the next year that will give owners of the headset reason to be happy. These include The Elder Scrolls Skyrim VR, The Inpatient from the creators of Until Dawn, Bravo Team, Moss, Superhot VR, Star Child & a Final Fantasy XV fishing spin-off “Monster of the Deep"

Release date: 2018

We’re long overdue an awesome Spider-Man game with his last good outing probably being Spider-Man 2 which came out over a decade ago! It doesn’t look like we’ll have to wait too much longer though (kind of) because Insomniac Games’ Spider-Man looks nothing short of incredible. The new gameplay trailer released this morning gave us a look at how the game will play with Spidey dispatching multiple enemies before chasing and taking down a helicopter. Check out that web slinging action!

Plus! There was a short after credits style clip of Miles Morales. What did this mean? We’ll have to wait and see.

Get excited Marvel fans.
